About Us

Vet Nurses Little Helpers

Hi lovely humans!

My name is Laura and I am a Certificate 4 qualified Veterinary Nurse and Receptionist, and have been for the last 6 years.

I am so passionate about animals (proud crazy cat lady!) and am so proud to be part of this wonderful industry full of amazing humans who have dedicated their life to helping animals.

This is not an easy job for many reasons, which is what has motivated me to start Vet Nurses’ Little Helpers in 2017.

We all work so hard in every situation we are faced with and I wanted to provide a platform that assists nurses at all stages of their careers. I particularly sympathised with vet nursing students who are expected to work, volunteer and study all at the same time!

Vet Nurses’ Little Helpers are a range of study cards and cage cards designed to “do the work for you”. I have taken a range of subjects (and I am continuously creating more) and summarised them into easy to understand and clear flash cards.

Due to the pressure on student vet nurses to work/volunteer/study, I have based a lot of the content on the Certificate 4 Veterinary Nursing course offered at TAFE Australia.

Vet Nurses’ Little Helpers are all checked by a qualified veterinary surgeon so you can rest assured that the information you are getting is correct. All clinics, vets and nurses have different views on different topics, so I am sure my cards won’t always match what you know or have learnt but I hope they still help!

We are trying very hard to minimise our negative environmental impact by using recyclable, reusable and biodegradable packaging material!

Please enjoy and please feel free to email me (see contact us) at any time with suggestions for card set or feedback on my cards (even negative feedback, but be nice!).
